The bodies, fully covered in white cloth, were recovered at 9:50 p.m. from the house of approximately 120 sq.m on Dinh Cong Ha Street in Hoang Mai District.

Police said they were a 53-year-old woman and three children aged 2, 6 and 11.

The fire broke out on the fourth story of the house, which also serves as a construction material retail venue, at around 6 p.m. It quickly spread to other floors within minutes.

An eyewitness reported that while many people from the fourth floor managed to escape, several were still trapped and screaming for help from the top floor.
