The Star reported that the meal, which took place on June 20, was featured on Instagram by Vincent’s daughter Chryseis Tan, who also attended the event with her husband Faliq Nasimuddin and Fan’s mother.
Chryseis posted on her Instagram about the delightful encounter, stating: "Lovely meeting Fan Bingbing & her mum! Welcome to KL!"
She also expressed excitement in her Instagram stories about trying the beauty products that Fan gifted her.
This dinner is part of Fan’s visit to Malaysia, where she came earlier this month to partake in promotional activities for the country’s Malaka state. Appointed as a tourism ambassador for the area earlier this year, the actress is expected to utilize her popularity to boost tourism, as reported by The Straits Times.
Fan, 43, entered the entertainment industry at 17 and has gained international recognition as an actress, model, television producer, and singer. She was listed by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in 2017.
Following a US$128 million fine for tax evasion in 2018, she has kept a relatively low profile.
Forbes reports that as of April 2024, Vincent, 72, has an estimated net worth of US$730 million, placing him 29th on the list of Malaysia’s 50 Richest.
