Winnie Chin, the 1981 Miss Hong Kong runner-up, claims her estranged husband Philip Ma has begun a relationship with the 2022 Miss Hong Kong winner Denice Lam despite their ongoing divorce proceedings.

In an interview with On, Chin, 61, stated that it is inappropriate for 30-year-old Lam to visit and stay at the house she still shares with Ma during their ongoing divorce proceedings, as it psychologically affects their three children, causing them distress.

Chin also stated that she is facing financial difficulties and cannot meet her monthly living expenses, accusing Ma of failing to provide adequate financial support.

Ma, 61, responded by saying he is currently single and considers dating normal.

Chin married Ma, also a racing driver and descendant of the founder of Hong Kong’s Tai Sang Bank, in 1995. They have three children together.

Their divorce proceedings began in 2018, reportedly due to Ma’s affair with a model, which he has denied. The couple has appeared multiple times in the court to resolve the divorce, which remains unsettled due to disagreements over asset division and costs.

Lam, of Hong Kong and English descent, first competed in the Miss Hong Kong pageant in 2016 but did not place in the top 20. She became a model before re-entering the pageant in 2022 and winning. She is currently an actress under contract with TV broadcasting company TVB.

Earlier this month, Sohu reported that Lam has been seen frequently at Ma’s villa, appearing extremely tired on one occasion. Observers have also noted that her lifestyle appears to have improved, evidenced by her driving a luxury sports car, living in an upscale area, and traveling extensively, despite her modest earnings from a less successful acting career.
