Additional distinguished guests include American professional boxer Mike Tyson, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, oil companies Saudi Aramco’s CEO Amin Nasser and BP’s CEO Murray Auchincloss, as well as pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline’s Emma Walmsley and aerospace and defense manufacturer Lockheed Martin’s Jim Taiclet, Bloomberg reports.
The event anticipates approximately 1,200 guests and will occur at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai from Friday to Sunday.
According to Reuters, Rajan Mehra, the chief executive of air charter company Club One Air, mentioned that the Ambanis have secured three Falcon-2000 jets from his company to transport wedding guests, with over 100 private planes expected to be utilized for the occasion.
"The guests are coming from all over and each aircraft will make multiple trips across the country," he stated.
The spectacular gathering will conclude 134 days of pre-wedding festivities, which featured two opulent parties: one in India in March and another aboard a yacht traveling from Palermo, Italy, to the South of France at the end of May.
However, not everyone is happy with the event, as it has caused discontent among local residents due to traffic disruptions in Mumbai’s financial district during the event.
