Unveiling the multifaceted life of Asia’s richest billionaire Ambani heir’s fiancée

Citing her LinkedIn profile, Forbes reported that Merchant completed her education at BD Somani International School in Mumbai before going on to major in Politics and Economics at New York University.

She embarked on her career path while attending university, initially as a business strategy consultant intern with Cedar Consultants, a firm specializing in consulting, research, and analytics, in Mumbai. Later, she took a position with the luxury real estate company Isprava.

Her career thus far lays a solid groundwork for her future advancements in the business realm, including her current role on the board of directors at Encore Healthcare alongside her family members.

Merchant also shares a cultural passion with her future mother-in-law Nita Ambani as a proficient Bharatanatyam dancer. In 2022, she finished her eight-year training in this Indian classical dance form at Shree Nibha Arts, a dance academy in Mumbai.

Her family also holds significant business influence with her father Shri Viren Merchant being a well-known figure in the Indian pharmaceutical sector and the CEO of Encore Healthcare.

At the age of 29, Merchant is preparing for her marriage to Ambani, 28, on July 12, an occasion expected to draw a glamorous guest list and grand celebrations.

This follows the couple’s pre-wedding events held from March 1-3, which, as reported by the Daily Mail, cost 120 million pounds (US$151.9 million) and saw the attendance of notable figures like Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and former U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump.
