Mandy Ma, wife of Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, has been praised online for her close relationship with his two children from his previous marriage to Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu.

On March 23, the couple were seen strolling with the children along Temple Street in Hong Kong, buying snacks and spending the evening together. Ma was photographed holding Wang’s daughter’s hand and engaging warmly with her throughout the outing.

Ma has recently livestreamed moments from their daily life, including cooking, walking with the children, and spending time as a family of four. In response to one viewer who commented, "Although Barbie Hsu was my idol, since you came into their lives, both families seem to have more color," Ma replied: "Like you, I want the best for my family. Thank you for the kind encouragement."

Her positive interactions have been widely praised, with many social media users noting that Wang and Ma appear to be rebuilding a stable family life following Hsu’s death earlier this year. Some commented that Wang’s daughter increasingly resembles her late mother and expressed hopes the children would grow up in a peaceful environment.

According to Sinchew, Wang’s two children now live with him and Ma in a luxury rental in Taipei’s Xinyi District. Wang currently holds their passports and, due to his frequent travel between mainland China and Taiwan, a nanny cares for the children when he is away.

TVBs reported that Wang and Ma plan to hold their wedding in May. The private ceremony will take place at a hotel, with close friends and family attending. The children are expected to travel from Taiwan to Beijing to attend their father’s wedding.

Ma recently faced criticism online for not bringing the children to their mother’s funeral, as they were instead seen at home doing arts and crafts.

Hsu, known for her roles in drama series "Meteor Garden," "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire," died at 49 in Japan due to pneumonia-related complications, her family announced on Feb. 3.

Hsu married Wang, a Chinese businessman, in 2011, but they divorced in 2021, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple shares two children: Wang Hsi Yueh, 11, and Wang Hsi Lin, 9,

Hsu then remarried in Feb. 2022 to her former boyfriend, South Korean musician DJ Koo, 55.

Meanwhile, Wang, 44 went on to marry Ma, a 26-year-old businesswoman and online influencer, in May 2024.
