At just 10 years old, Alisa Perales is set to make history as the youngest-ever graduate of Crafton Hills College in California this month, earning associate degrees in both Science and Math.

With a near-perfect GPA approaching 4.0, Alisa attributes her academic achievements to a genuine passion for learning.

"It's very fun to me, almost as fun as playing outside or riding a bike," she told KABC-TV.

Alisa’s father, Rafael Perales, revealed that his daughter has been home-schooled since the age of one. Supported by a family inheritance, Rafael dedicated himself entirely to guiding Alisa’s studies at home. While most children her age were learning letters and numbers, Alisa was already reading and tackling mathematics, NBC News reported.

"We study from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., six days a week," Rafael said.

Alisa began attending Crafton Hills College when she was only eight years old. Her presence initially puzzled classmates, who assumed her father was the student.

Sandra Ruiz, one of Alisa's professors, praised her tenacity and inquisitiveness.

"She was always curious to learn, to explore new things," she told KABC, adding that she does not let her young age stop her from learning.

Despite her academic success, Alisa has had trouble finding peers her age. Rafael shared that they often bike around their neighborhood searching for other children for Alisa to play with.

Now looking ahead, Alisa aims to earn a Computer Science degree at a prestigious institution. She has already applied to Stanford University and is awaiting their response.
