Lee Lung Kei concerned for 37-year-younger fiancée following visa overstay detention

As reported by St Headline, Wong, from mainland China, faced arrest by local officials on Monday. During the subsequent interrogation the following day, she was charged with falsifying documents, lying to obtain entry into Hong Kong, and exceeding her tourist visa stay.

Her bail plea was denied by the court, necessitating her detainment until the next court date on April 16.

Lee expressed deep sorrow and concern for Wong during an interview, stating she had not disclosed her actions of document forgery and misinformation to him. He said he would have urged her to surrender to the authorities had he been aware.

Still, Lee remarked on the emotional relief Wong might feel post-arrest, after having to conceal her truth for an extended period.

"I still encourage her, hoping she can start over and correct her mistakes," he said, affirming his forgiveness and commitment not to abandon her.

The actor remains hopeful about marrying Wong.

The couple met when Lee was 66. They aimed for a wedding by the end of 2023, but the demise of Wong’s father postponed their plans.

Wong’s past is marred with various accusations, from exchanging sexual favors for money to fraudulent acts. Her claims of a wealthy background and education from a reputed U.S. institution were also alleged to be fabrications, perceived by some as attempts to attract financial support from wealthy individuals.

Despite these controversies, Lee has stood by Wong.

Lee, a celebrated actor, is known for his roles in "The Condor Heroes," "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer," "Journey to the West," and "Forensic Heroes."

He has three children from his first marriage in the 1970s, all older than Wong.
