The fire started around 4 a.m. in a 70-square-meter apartment on the 19th floor of the complex’s Block 2, which was unoccupied at the time. The rapid spread of the flames quickly engulfed the apartment’s furnishings and triggered the building’s fire alarm, rousing many residents from sleep and leading them to hastily exit the building. Some residents struggled to carry young children down the stairs.
Responding to the emergency, numerous firetrucks and over 20 firefighters converged at the scene to help the building’s management extinguish the flames. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. It resulted in the complete destruction of the apartment’s contents, while its intense heat caused the glass windows to shatter and smoke discolored the walls.
Local authorities confirmed that there were no casualties. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
A fire at a six-story house in Hanoi on Sunday night killed 4 people, following a blaze late last month at an apartment block in Hanoi that killed 14 people and injured three others.
