French star Kylian Mbappe reportedly insulted Polish striker Robert Lewandowski during the game between France and Poland in the Euro group stage.

In the 87th minute, Mbappe went for the ball with Lewandowski. The Polish striker extended his arm and hit the France captain in the face. The new player of Real Madrid had to lie down in pain for a while, then pulled his mask up and called Lewandowski "son of a bitch," according to French newspaper Foot Mercato.

Mbappe broke his nose in the Euro 2024 opening match against Austria and decided not to have surgery to continue playing in the tournament, wearing a protective mask. He only sat out for one match before returning to play against Poland. That might be the reason why the 26-year-old star reacted when there was contact with his face.

Mbappe opened the score for France from a penalty, but Lewandowski equalized in the same fashion. Poland left the tournament with one point, while France lost the top of Group D to Austria.

The conflict between Mbappe and Lewandowski is expected to garner larger attention in the Spanish media. The France captain is the new star of Real Madrid while Lewandowski is playing for Barcelona. These two clubs are rivals in La Liga.

Mbappe also just quenched his goal thirst, with his first goal at the Euros. Meanwhile, Lewandowski became the third player in history to score in four Euro tournaments, after Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric. After the match, when Lewandowski came to shake Mbappe's hand, and the French star said something to him.
