QS is one of the world's three largest university ranking organizations, alongside Times Higher Education and the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai Rankings.
The QS rankings evaluate approximately 1,700 universities from over 100 countries and territories. Rankings are determined by five criteria, with academic reputation carrying the highest weight (40-50%). The other criteria include employer reputation, average citations per paper, the H-index measuring research productivity and impact, and the International Research Network (IRN) index assessing international collaboration effectiveness.
In Vietnam, five universities were ranked by QS in computer science: Duy Tan University (201-250), the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (451-500), Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi (both 551-600), and Ton Duc Thang University (601-650).
