Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh happy with single life at 49

Actress Charmaine Sheh has expressed her contentment with being single at 49 in a recent interview.

According to China Press, as cited by news outlet Znews, Sheh shared her perspective on her current love life, stating: "Life is great right now. I don’t think it [being single] is a big deal because it’s my choice."

"Thank you for your concern, but I’m living a happy life," she further added,

Sheh also emphasized that she isn’t in any rush to get married and does not feel pressured to start a family.

Local media have highlighted that Sheh’s most notable relationships in the past were with Hong Kong actors Benny Chan and Kevin Cheng. She had also been romantically linked to actors Julian Cheung, Ron Ng, Raymond Lam, and Joe Ma.

Sheh began her career in entertainment in 1997 after securing the runner-up position in that year’s Miss Hong Kong pageant. She gained prominence as an actress with TVB, starring in popular TV series such as "War and Beauty," "Beyond the Realm of Conscience," and "Forensic Heroes."

After leaving TVB in 2016, Sheh established Charmaine Sheh Workshop Limited and expanded her career in China. She gained acclaim with the 2018 TV series "Story of Yanxi Palace."

In 2023, she returned to TVB, appearing in "The Queen of News" and earning her third Best Actress accolade at the TVB Awards.
