Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh has expressed her optimism for finding love in 2024, eager to shed the label of being a "single rich lady".

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, Sheh took to social media to share her wishes for everyone's well-being, posting: "I wish you all energy, health, happiness, and laughter."

Choosing to stay in Hong Kong over traveling abroad for the Lunar New Year, Sheh, 48, spent quality time with her family. Amidst a bustling career that has left her with little time for relaxation, Sheh emphasized the importance of maintaining a work-life balance. "After completing a project, I spend time reflecting in solitude, avoiding undue pressure for perfection," she conveyed to ON, a news platform.

Despite the affluence and independence she has garnered, leading to her often being dubbed a "single rich lady," Sheh clarifies, "That label only tells part of my story. While I am single, the 'rich lady' tag doesn't fully apply. In matters of the heart, I'm straightforward and believe in the serendipity of love." She remains hopeful that 2024 will bring her the companionship she yearns for.

Charmaine Sheh 's journey in the entertainment industry began in 1997 after she was named Miss Hong Kong runner-up.

She gained fame as a TVB actress, starring in hit shows like "Return of the Cuckoo" and "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber" in 2000, "War and Beauty" in 2004, "Beyond the Realm of Conscience" in 2009, "Can't Buy Me Love" in 2010, and "Line Walker" in 2014.

After parting ways with TVB in 2016, Charmaine Sheh launched her own agency, Charmaine Sheh Workshop Limited, and expanded her career in China. She achieved success with the 2018 series "Story of Yanxi Palace".

In 2023, she made a return to TVB after a seven-year hiatus, starring in "The Queen of News" and clinching her third Best Actress award at the TVB Awards.
