Man who killed woman on Hanoi street has died: police

They said a local man discovered his body in Tay Ho District on Tuesday afternoon and informed them. According to local media, his body was found in the Red River and retrieved at Nhat Tan Bridge.

Police confirmed that the deceased was the suspect in the killing of the woman.

At around 4 a.m. on Monday a security camera captured a man in a white t-shirt pushing a woman down in the middle of the street and stabbing her multiple times despite her frantic efforts to get away.

Passers-by tried to stop the man, but the man continued to stab the woman before fleeing.

The police have not disclosed the reason for the murder or how the man died.
