Vietnam obtained three points in a tough game against Myanmar thanks to the only goal by captain Do Hung Dung.

It was not an easy game for Vietnam when they played Myanmar, who have won their first two games of group A.

Throughout the first half, Vietnam were struggling to find a way past Myanmar’s solid defense. They made many crosses inside the box but none of them reached the right destination.

Meanwhile, Myanmar also created some dangerous chances from counter-attacks. The first half ended goalless.

In the second half, Vietnam continued to make crosses inside and it still didn’t work. Coach Park had to make several changes and one of the substitutions made a difference. Le Van Do entered the game and brought the right flank back to life with his incisive runs.

In the 75th minute, it was Do who passed the ball inside for captain Do Hung Dung to score for Vietnam.

Dung also kept his composure with this finish as he put the ball to the far corner, leaving Myanmar keeper no chance.

The last 10 minutes witnessed heavy rain, which caused many difficulties for Vietnam defenders. But the score remained 1-0 until the final whistle and Vietnam climbed on top of group A with 7 points.
