When Vietnam opened the score against Myanmar in SEA Games 31 Friday night, the atmosphere at HCMC’s Nguyen Hue walking street turned into a celebration.

Thuc, 23 and his friend celebrated when Vietnam scored and won 1-0. The win put Vietnam to the top of group A with 7 points after three games.

“The team were struggling against the opponent’s defensive play in the first half. But us fans still believe in a win for the team and they players didn’t let us down,” Thuc said.
