Here’s a glimpse at the children of tech titans who are stepping into the spotlight on their own terms.
Preston Bezos
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose net worth stands at US$216.8 billion as of May 22 according to Forbes, has four children with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott. Despite his global profile, Bezos has kept his family life private, with only his eldest son, Preston, publicly identified.
Born in 2000, Preston reportedly attended Princeton University, following in the footsteps of both parents. South China Morning Post has said he may have studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His name appears on MIT’s Class of 2022 bachelor of science in humanities and engineering list.
While he avoids social media, Preston has appeared at high-profile events alongside his father, including the 2019 American Portrait Gala and 2020 Oscars and Vanity Fair Oscar Party. He also seems to share a warm relationship with Lauren Sánchez, Bezos’s fiancée and an Emmy-winning journalist and children’s book author. He has been seen dining and shopping with Sánchez and her son Nikko. In 2023 he joined Bezos and Sánchez for a vacation in Greece.

Eve Jobs, 26, is the youngest daughter of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and billionaire philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs. Contrary to assumptions, fashion magazine Harper’s BAZAAR said, her name is a reference to the Biblical character and not her father’s legacy.
The 2021 graduate from Stanford University with a degree in science, technology and society made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week’s Coperni show that same year. In 2022 she signed with DNA Model Management and has since modeled for major brands such as Louis Vuitton and Glossier, and appeared in magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair.
She is active on social media, frequently sharing glimpses of her lavish lifestyle with more than 418,000 Instagram followers. She is also an accomplished equestrian, ranking fifth in the world under-25 showjumpers’ list in 2019.
In a 2016 interview with Upper Echelon Academy in Florida, where she was training, she discussed how riding horses helped her grow as a person: "Riding always keeps you humble. It has taught me independence, dedication and perseverance, which I can apply to all realms of life." She is reportedly dating fellow equestrian and Olympic athlete Harry Charles.
Her father passed away in 2011, leaving an estimated $10.5 billion fortune, which he bequeathed to her mother, Laurene. Laurene told The New York Times in 2020 that she does not plan to pass this wealth on to Eve and her siblings. "I'm not interested in legacy wealth building, and my children know that. Steve wasn't interested in that. It ends with me."

Alexa, 31, is the daughter of Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell Technologies, whose net worth is estimated at $111.3 billion. Raised on a 33,000-square-foot estate in Texas State in the U.S. dubbed "the Castle", Alexa has become the most visible member of her otherwise private family, with over 48,000 Instagram followers.
In 2012 she drew attention after posting a photo of her younger brother eating a buffet on a private jet. Dell’s security team had to quickly remove the post and Dell suspended both siblings’ social media accounts, according to Bloomberg.
A year later she dropped out of Columbia University to pursue a tech career, inspired by what she described as a "master class" from her father in the tech world. Speaking to Business Insider, she said: "The idea that if we can make the world a smaller place with technology, we can really exponentially expand the boundaries of innovation and what's possible within the world.
"That movement was incredibly intriguing to me, and I wanted to be part of that."
Today she runs a business consulting firm and advises dating app company Bumble. While in her early 20s she dated Tinder CEO Sean Rad, whom she met on the app, South China Morning Post reported.
In March 2025, she married Frédéric Choquette in Kona, Hawaii. The couple, who met at a friend’s rooftop party, share a love for cycling.

Jaime, 27, is the daughter of Ken Xie, cybersecurity pioneer and founder of Fortinet, which is credited with developing the first firewall and VPN. Despite growing up "surrounded by tech and Teslas," Jaime pursued fashion instead of tech. She told Business Insider her passion began in middle school, when she realized she preferred Chanel and Louis Vuitton to Hollister and Abercrombie.
During her teens she spent so much on clothes that her parents made her work a summer job at U.S. department store Nordstrom when she was 18 to "appreciate the value of money." Now a fashion influencer with more than 750,000 Instagram followers, she starred in three seasons of Netflix’s "Bling Empire," a reality show following wealthy Asian-Americans in Los Angeles. She said she was the last person cast and had never watched reality TV before joining the show.
She said it is important to stay humble despite having wealth, adding that she grew up like most teenagers, cooking for herself and her family, and cleaning her own room. "We live like a normal family. I love this because it keeps me grounded."

Phoebe, 22, is the youngest child of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and philanthropist Melinda French Gates. She graduated in 2024 – a year early – from Stanford University with a bachelor of science in human biology.
She has donated millions to abortion rights organizations and credited her mother’s work as a major influence. In a 2022 Vogue essay, she wrote: "When you’re Melinda’s daughter, it’s easy to be passionate about reproductive health.
"My mom is my hero. She’s a brilliant reformer who travels around the world advocating for gender equality."
Unlike the rest of her family, Phoebe is an extrovert. She has become a social media sensation, with over 450,000 Instagram followers and an active presence on TikTok, where she shares insights into her upbringing. "People have a lot of preconceptions about me, and so TikTok has been a chance for me to tell my own story and also use the attention my family name might bring to spotlight issues that are important to me, like women's health and sustainable fashion," she said in a 2023 interview with U.S. news site The Information. She also appeared in her father’s Netflix series "What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates," where the two had a playful moment over bubble tea.
In April this year she and Stanford roommate Sophia Kianni, 23, launched "The Burnouts," a podcast focused on empowering Gen Z female entrepreneurs. They also introduced Phia, an AI-powered fashion app that aggregates listings from retail and secondhand sources. Phoebe emphasized that Phia is entirely independent and not funded by her parents.
She is currently dating Arthur Donald, the 26-year-old grandson of Beatles icon Paul McCartney.
