On Oct. 18, Zhang posted a photo on his Weibo account, cradling his newborn daughter, and confirmed that both his wife and the baby, who weighs around 3.5 kg, are in good health.
Zhang announced: "Your mother and I will take gentle care of you, our precious dragon gem. Now, we are a family of six," and mentioned that his older children were excited to meet their new sister.

Du revealed on social media that this delivery was more challenging than her previous ones, as her fitness has declined. She expressed deep appreciation for Zhang, who has been tirelessly caring for her and their children. "I saw my husband sleeping on a chair in the hospital, looking even more exhausted than I was. He wakes up at 5 a.m. every day and doesn’t stop working," she shared.
Zhang, who married Du in 2017, has shown consistent devotion to his family, as reported by Sinchew. Du previously mentioned on a TV show that Zhang takes an active role in parenting, helping with tasks like feeding the children, changing diapers, doing laundry, and cooking.
During her pregnancy, Zhang was particularly attentive, accompanying Du to every ultrasound, tracking the baby’s development, and taking detailed notes on the doctor’s instructions to ensure proper care for both mother and child. This level of support has helped reduce her stress as she cares for three young children—one from a previous relationship and two with Zhang—while expecting another, according to The Star.

Zhang is famous for his film adaptations of classic wuxia novels by acclaimed Chinese author Jin Yong, including "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer," "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," "The Return of the Condor Heroes," "Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber," and "The Deer and the Cauldron."
Alongside his directorial work, he has appeared in supporting roles in several of these adaptations. Recently, Zhang and Du have gained attention for their live-streaming sessions, where they promote and sell various products.
