According to Malaysian news outlet Hype, two-thirds of Hsu’s estate will go to the two children she had with her ex-husband, Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, while the remaining one-third will be allocated to DJ Koo. This distribution follows Taiwanese civil law.
Since the children are minors, aged 10 and eight, their inheritance will be managed by Wang until they turn 18.
Wang has been appointed the children's legal guardian and will retain custody of them. However, according to The Standard, sources indicate that Wang has no immediate plans to move the children from Taipei to Beijing, China, where he currently resides.
In addition, Wang reportedly remains embroiled in a lawsuit concerning Hsu’s estate stemming from their divorce. Reports suggest that he owes NT$250 million in unpaid mortgage and loans related to Hsu’s former residence in Taipei’s upscale Xinyi District. Wang’s recent visit to Taiwan was allegedly aimed at addressing these ongoing financial and legal issues.
During his visit, Wang was seen at a temple in Taipei with his daughter and current partner, Chinese online influencer and businesswoman Mandy Ma. Witnesses noted the young girl holding Ma’s hand, suggesting a harmonious dynamic within the blended family.
Hsu, best known for her roles in "Meteor Garden," "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire," passed away at the age of 49 while on vacation in Japan. Her family confirmed her death on Feb. 3. Subsequent reports indicated that she had missed two critical medical interventions while in Japan.
Hsu and Wang, who married in 2011, separated due to "irreconcilable differences" and announced their divorce in 2021. Afterward, Hsu remarried DJ Koo in Feb. 2022.
Wang, in turn, married 26-year-old Ma in May 2024.
