Citing ETToday, Znews reported that the amount owed consists of mortgages and house loans.

Furthermore, per their divorce settlement, Wang, 44, was to provide Hsu with 690,000 yuan every quarter for child support until March 2038 and cover additional expenses such as living costs and nanny fees.

However, AsiaOne reported that in Nov. 2022, Hsu accused Wang of not paying spousal maintenance since March 2022. This led her to seek legal intervention from the Taipei District Court, which resulted in a ruling allowing the seizure of some of Wang’s assets in Taiwan.

Still, the litigation over their financial disputes continues, impacting Hsu’s financial stability and quality of life in her later years.

Hsu, famous for her roles in "Meteor Garden," "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire," died at age 49 while vacationing in Japan, with her passing confirmed by her family on Feb. 3.

She and Wang, who married in 2011, separated due to "irreconcilable differences" and announced their divorce in 2021.

After their divorce, Hsu remarried South Korean musician DJ Koo, 56, in Feb. 2022, while Wang married 26-year-old online influencer Mandy Ma in May 2024. Despite their new marital statuses, accusations between Hsu and Wang persisted, including charges of infidelity and physical abuse by Hsu against Wang, and allegations by Wang of Hsu using his credit card for extravagant purchases for DJ Koo.
