Star footballer purchases Mercedes-Benz, Patek Philippe

The footballer has just bought a Mercedes G63 for VND11 billion, two to three times higher than the prices of Porsche cars that several of his teammates drive, including Que Ngoc Hai, Doan Van Hau, and Vu Van Thanh.

Duc also owns a VND2.5 billion Mercedes-Benz GLC that he bought last year.

The footballer also owns many high-end fashion items and accessories, including a VND 1.9-billion-dong Patek Philippe and a 400-million-dong Rolex Datejust watch.

It is reported that he spent at least VND10 billion constructing a four-storey house in his hometown, the northern Hai Duong province, for his parents. The amount is broken down into the construction cost and costs for interior furniture.

These properties came from Duc’s huge income as one of the most successful domestic footballers at the moment. It is estimated that his annual amortization reaches tens of billions of dong, and he pockets a huge amount from commercial deals as well.

He also runs a business in sports clothes, footwear, and other accessories.

Having obtained the Best Player of the V. League 2023 award, Duc has a chance to further enrich his title collection, as he was shortlisted nominee for the 2023 Vietnamese Golden Ball award. He won his first Vietnamese Golden Ball award in 2021.

Graduating from Viettel Youth Football Training Center, Duc, 25, has been playing for Viettel Football Club since 2017. He is also a regular starter in the national football team.

Thailand’s Pathum United Football Club reportedly offered him a monthly salary of $10,000 in September 2021.

Duc himself said playing for a football league in another country is his dream and he would do so at the right time.
