According to My, she thought it was a normal date when Hau brought her out on Sunday night. To her surprise, she found out upon their arrival that the place Hau brought her to was decorated with flowers, and Hau immediately kneeled down, took out a ring, and proposed to her.
"I felt really happy," she said. "I didn’t even hesitate to accept his proposal, as I thought it was the right time for us."
She also added that she and Hau planned to hold their engagement ceremony soon, while their wedding ceremony was scheduled to be held early next year.
A close friend of the two revealed that Hau started planning for his proposal a week before the date and asked a few friends to help him with the decoration.
Hau, 24, gained popularity after becoming a regular starter in the national football team and winning a SEA Games gold medal with the team in 2018.
He and My, 22, were introduced to each other through mutual connections. A few months after My attended the 2020 Miss Vietnam contest and made it to the top 10, they started dating.
The couple publicized their relationship in 2022. Hau has been seen joining My’s family on various trips, while My has been seen supporting Hau at many of his matches.
