World's second most beautiful island welcomes over 320,000 foreign tourists in first two months

Phu Quoc, voted the world's second most beautiful island by American magazine Travel + Leisure, received 1.4 million tourists including 320,888 foreigners in the first two months this year, marking a 52.7% year-on-year increase.

The total number of foreign arrivals to the island during January and February accounted for nearly 30% of the entire number of foreign visitors in 2024.

According to a report from travel platform Agoda, the island has been the most popular destination for international tourists in 2025, with accommodation searches increasing by an impressive 266% compared to 2024.

A series of Asian celebrities, including Chinese actor and martial artist Vincent Zhao, have recently visited Phu Quoc, boosting its global profile.

The Vietnam's largest island has set a target of serving 7 million tourists this year, including 1 million foreigners.

Last year, it was voted the world's second most beautiful island by readers of the American magazine Travel + Leisure, trailing only the Maldives.
