4 Vietnamese restaurants voted among Asia’s 25 best by Tripadvisor readers

Located on the 7th floor of La Sinfonía del Rey Hotel & Spa in downtown Hanoi, The Rhythms Restaurant ranked seventh on the list as part of the 2024 Travelers' Choice "Best of the Best" Restaurants Awards announced this week.

Its menu features traditional Vietnamese dishes from across the country, with signature offerings like roasted chicken prepared in the style of northwest Vietnam, local spring rolls, and banana rolls served with ice cream.

The restaurant can accommodate 80 guests and offers outdoor seating with views of Hoan Kiem Lake. Its menu includes iconic Vietnamese dishes from the northern, central, and southern regions, such as fragrant beef noodles, grilled beef, and bun cha (grilled pork with rice noodles).

John Anthony Cantonese Grill & Dimsum inside the JW Marriott Hotel in Hanoi ranked 17th. This restaurant specializes in authentic Cantonese delicacies, including dim sum, charcoal-roasted meats, and seafood dishes, with its most famous offering being roasted Peking duck, prepared in a wood stone duck oven.

The only representative from HCMC is Reflections Restaurant that ranked 8th on the list.

Located on the third floor of the Caravelle Saigon Hotel on Lam Son Square, the restaurant offers views of the Saigon Opera House, with its wagyu beef steak being one of its highlights.

This year, Akira Back from Thailand was voted Asia’s best restaurant, followed by Ise Sueyoshi from Japan.

The winners were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.
