Harley riders fined for using HCMC car lane

10 people riding Harley motorbikes into a car-exclusive lane on Binh Loi Bridge in HCMC’s Binh Thanh District were fined VND5 million ($205) and had their licenses revoked.

Each rider was fined VND500,000 each and had licenses suspended for two months by traffic police officers of Hang Xanh on Monday.

The riders had lined up and rode the motorbikes along the car lane of Binh Loi Bridge on Dec. 10. At the time of the incident, there were few other vehicles using the lane.

The riders said they were escorts for a wedding in District 11. As they saw how there were few cars at the lane at the time, they decided to enter it.
