Singapore's Crowne Plaza Changi named best airport hotel

Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Airport at China’s Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport came in second, followed by TWA Hotel at the JFK Airport in the U.S. and the Hilton Munich Airport hotel at Germany’s Munich Airport.

To compile the list, Skytrax conducted the survey from August 2023 to March 2024 to evaluate passenger experiences in categories such as overall hotel experience, access to and from airport to hotel, friendly and professional reception service, friendliness of hotel staff, cleanliness of bedroom and bathroom, in-room amenities, quality of food, staff service and value for money.

Crowne Plaza Changi hotel features 575 guestrooms, including premier rooms with runway views and selected deluxe rooms with stunning vistas of the Jewel nature-based entertainment and retail complex, pool terrace club rooms and suites providing contemporary luxury.

Facilities and services include an all-day dining Italian restaurant and bar, a club lounge, a resort outdoor pool, a fitness center, 24-hour in-room dining service, laundry service and business center services.

The main restaurant there is Azur on level two, offering buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There’s also the Crystal Jade Pavilion on level one, serving Cantonese Chinese food.

Prices for a night’s stay start at VND6 million (US$237) a night.

This year, Doha's Hamad International Airport dethroned Singapore's Changi to claim the title of world's best airport at the annual Skytrax awards.

But Changi was still named the world’s best airport for immigration services.
