Spanish football prodigy Lamine Yamal spotted with rumored new girlfriend

The pair were seen shopping together at La Roca in Barcelona on Dec. 2, as captured in a video shared on Instagram.

According to Daily Mail, Gegnoso, along with her friend Fabiola Baglieri, another social media influencer, traveled from Italy to Spain to watch and support Yamal in Barcelona’s La Liga match against Las Palmas on Nov. 30.

Gegnoso, two years older than Yamal, is an Italian model and influencer with over 595,000 followers on Instagram and 835,000 on TikTok. These numbers are expected to rise much higher following the dating rumors surrounding her and the Barcelona star.

Yamal’s personal life has attracted significant attention since his rise to international stardom over the past year.

The 17-year-old midfielder made headlines during the Euro 2024 celebrations when he publicly introduced his then-girlfriend, Alex Padilla, at the Olympia Stadium on July 14. Following the title win, the couple vacationed together in Italy and Greece. However, their relationship ended about two weeks later when Yamal unfollowed Padilla on Instagram and she deleted all posts related to him.

The breakup followed an incident in which Padilla was seen sitting on the lap of a man named Izan Fernandez during a livestream. "Are you an idiot? You'll ruin me," a girl believed to be Padilla was heard saying in the video, apparently unaware that the camera was on her.

Yamal joined Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy and made his La Liga debut in April 2023, at just 15 years, nine months and 16 days old, the youngest player ever to do so for the club. He later set records for being the youngest player to start for Barcelona (16 years and 38 days) and the youngest player to provide an assist in La Liga (16 years and 45 days).

Since then, Yamal has quickly become a key player for Barca, registering 13 goals and 17 assists in 68 appearances. His current market value is estimated at $162 million by Transfermarkt. In October 2023, he signed a new contract with the club until June 2026, which includes a staggering release clause of $1.05 billion.

Yamal’s historic performances at Euro 2024 further solidified his reputation. He became the youngest player to play, assist, score and win a title in a Euro tournament. His standout moment came in the semifinal against France, where he scored from a stunning 25-meter left-footed curler, equalizing 1-1 for Spain. That goal broke two Pele's records that had stood for 68 years, making Yamal the youngest player to score in a Euro or World Cup semifinal.

In recognition of his remarkable year, Yamal was awarded the 2024 Kopa Trophy for the best male player under 21, as well as the 2024 Golden Boy, given to the best U21 player of the year.
