Ronaldo wears diamond-studded jewelry featuring $1.5M watch at Champions League draw

Cristiano Ronaldo showcased a diamond-studded earring, brooch and Franck Muller watch as he received the "UEFA Champions League All-Time Top Scorer" award on Thursday at the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League draw in Monaco.

The 39-year-old football superstar stole the spotlight in a white shirt paired with a custom-tailored suit, opting to forgo a tie for a more relaxed look. He wore a single earring with a central diamond surrounded by over 30 smaller diamonds and a teardrop-shaped diamond brooch. His ensemble was completed by a Franck Muller watch adorned with 600 diamonds. Ronaldo has worn this US$1.5 million timepiece on various occasions.

On stage, he expressed excitement at being honored as the all-time leading goalscorer in the Champions League, with 140 goals in 183 matches. He has won the Champions League five times and has been the tournament's top scorer seven times.

Earlier, the UEFA Champions League's official page attracted 2.5 million likes for a video of fans chanting Ronaldo's name, requesting autographs, and taking photos with him outside the event venue. The video was widely shared on social media with many viewers praising his presence.

After the event, Ronaldo and his model girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, 30, enjoyed a yacht cruise and posed with a commemorative trophy.

According to Vogue, Ronaldo is one of the most stylish athletes. His outfits and accessories frequently top search lists. Besides his collection of supercars, he owns dozens of luxurious watches.

Ronaldo, now with Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia) and captain of Portugal, is one of football's greatest players. He has won five Ballon d'Or awards and holds the world record for 899 goals in 1,235 matches, excluding club friendlies, according to IFFHS.

He is the most influential social media figure, with 637 million Instagram followers, over 170 million on Facebook, and nearly 113 million on X (formerly Twitter). His YouTube channel "UR · Cristiano," launched on Aug. 21, set records for the all time fastest subscriber growth, reaching milestones from 100,000 to 50 million.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez, who began dating in 2016, have two daughters Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Portuguese channel TV Guia reported on Aug. 20 that they have signed a prenuptial agreement requiring Ronaldo to provide Rodriguez U$110,000 monthly for life in the event of a separation.
