While readers welcomed a proposal to extend Vietnam's visa exemption as good news, many said they expect the three-month visa more.

"This is going in the right direction but also the three months multi-entry needs to be reinstated."

"That's great!! But I would rather see the return of multi entry long-term visa!!!!!"

"Just return the visas from before. I'd like to visit all of Vietnam for 90 days at one time. No visa runs. No 30-day e-visa silliness."

"Just drop the administrative full employment scheme and offer 30 days to all arrivals. Although I'm sure the tourism sector would be unable to adapt to the millions of tourists that would arrive and make much more revenue for the country than the current scheme."
anonymousgplus85

"Just go back to pre-pandemic visa policies already."

"Just give everyone a 90 day tourist visa. This is not that hard to figure out. The longer people stay, the more they travel within the country and spend money on airfare, taxis, hotels etc and not just in HCMC or Hanoi."
