Having just returned from a vacation in Da Nang, Tran Thanh – known as "king of the Vietnamese box office" – and his wife continued to travel to Bangkok with close friends this month. |
His group post with Thai costumes in front of Wat Arun, one of Thailand’s most famous temples. |
Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, the temple is known as the ‘Temple of Dawn.’ Wat Arun can be accessed through the Chao Phraya River, and ferries travel across the river towards the Maharaj pier. For foreigners, the temple charges an entrance fee of 100 baht (US$2.78). |
The most famous place inside the temple is the 80-meter-high main tower, surrounded by four small towers at the four corners, symbolizing Mount Meru, which is thought of as the center of the universe. |
Wat Arun Temple is most beautiful in the early morning before 8 a.m., when the sunlight shining on the towers is not too bright. |
Thanh and his friends played games at the RUSH B Laser Game Center in Bangkok. The center also features a buffet and a video game arcade. |
The group traveled by motorized rickshaw (tuktuk) rather than taxi. |
