At around 4:45 p.m., locals spotted a woman standing on the edge of a rooftop of a 27-story apartment building, more than 80 meters above ground.
They called the police and eight officers from the firefighting and rescue police department came to the scene, along with two vehicles for rescue efforts.
They split into two teams: one placed mattresses on the ground, while the other approached the rooftop.
Major Nguyen The Song managed to secure the woman from the edge of the rooftop, and others in the team cooperated to bring her down to the ground safely.
Authorities said the woman was from Nghe An's Quynh Luu District and showed abnormal psychological signs. She had been taken to hospital for health checks.
