Held on March 31 and April 1, the ENT Masterclass provided intensive training and connected both the domestic and international medical communities. The event was a significant highlight in the "Facing The World" international medical conference series in Vietnam.
The ENT Masterclass is a world-class training program designed specifically for ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialists and head and neck surgeons. Established by the U.K.-based ENT Masterclass organization, the program brings together leading experts such as Professor M. Shahed Quraishi OBE, former President of the Royal Society of Medicine's ENT Section, Professor Claire Hopkins, former President of the British Rhinological Society, and other prominent specialists from the U.K. and the U.S.

Looking beyond the ENT Masterclass, the "Facing The World series of conferences" plans to introduce additional medical symposiums. In October 2025, the organization will collaborate with Hong Ngoc General Hospital, 108 Military Central Hospital, and Viet Duc University Hospital to host the "International Conference on Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery."
Katrin Kandel, CEO of Facing The World, highlighted the importance of the long-term and sustainable transfer of medical knowledge. "Physicians participating in the program will not only enhance their own skills but also pass on their expertise to the next generation of healthcare professionals, creating a continuous cycle of development within Vietnam's medical community," an organizer said. "This international conference series also serves as an excellent opportunity for Vietnam's healthcare sector to integrate globally while improving medical capabilities and the quality of patient care nationwide."

In addition to the medical training programs in 2025, Facing The World will continue collaborating with prestigious partner hospitals like 108 Military Central Hospital, Viet Duc University Hospital, and Hong Ngoc General Hospital to conduct large-scale charitable medical missions. These initiatives aim to provide life-changing surgical interventions for underprivileged children with facial deformities.
Through its humanitarian work and impactful conference series, Facing The World has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Friendship Medal from the President of Vietnam, the "For the People's Health" Medal from the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, and commendations from PACCOM and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) for its contributions to Vietnam's healthcare sector.
Facing The World's efforts are expected to improve access to life-changing surgical care for children in Vietnam. Through international surgical placements, the program trains local surgeons to treat severe facial conditions, ensuring lasting impact.
"We also establish centers of excellence, facilitating accreditation and advanced training programs to build sustainable medical expertise. Today, our efforts help enable over 10,000 life-changing surgeries each year, giving children with facial disfigurements the chance to thrive," said Katrin Kandel.
