The dollar is sold at VND25,640 on the black market, down 0.21% from Monday.

Vietcombank's dollar selling rate remained at VND25,458.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV)'s reference rate was unchanged at VND24,246.

Globally, the yen slightly fell by 0.30% to 156.79 against the dollar on Tuesday, after experiencing significant gains on Monday due to what is believed to be intervention by Japanese authorities, Reuters reported.

Earlier in the day, the yen had briefly risen above 157 per dollar.

Japanese authorities have not confirmed any intervention in the currency market to bolster the yen, yet market vigilance for potential intervention remains high as the Federal Reserve's monetary policy review approaches this week.
