South Korean men caught riding motorcycles with both hands off

Police in central Quang Nam Province have identified two South Korean tourists who were seen letting go of both hands while riding large motorcycles, as captured in a video posted on social media.

The Quang Nam Provincial Traffic Police Department announced on Tuesday that it had booked the two with administrative violations for "releasing both hands while driving."

The police have temporarily seized their papers and vehicles.

Earlier, on the afternoon of March 29, the two South Korean men borrowed motorcycles from a local in Da Nang City and drove into the neighboring province of Quang Nam.

While traveling on Vo Chi Cong Street in Thang Binh District, the two men released both hands from the handlebars. Passersby recorded footage of the violation and posted it on social media, prompting public attention.

Quang Nam traffic police later verified the incident and identified the two South Korean men.

They have summoned both the riders and the motorcycle owner for further investigation.
