Cong Tri showcases true colors in latest collection

"My Colors" collection serves as a canvas for Cong Tri to show off his new street style aesthetic and optimism for a post-pandemic world.
My Colors, introduced at the Vietnam International Fashion Week on December 3, includes streetwear outfits, an area that had been rarely touched by Cong Tri, because the Vietnamese designer often focuses on complex dresses and gowns for his previous collection.Models in Tris show  use face shields to raise public awareness of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In this collection, Tri finds his inspiration from daily life, where people yearn for showing their ego and true colors amid the rat race. More than 30 outfits in the collection use white, blue and red as the main color, showing the simple beauty of wearers. In the latter half of the collection, Tri introduces 70 outfits with diverse designs, materials and colors.Most designs are inspired by the outfits in the 80s and 90s, which were said to be the golden age of fashion with grunge, punk and normcore outfits. The mullet haircut, starting with short hair on the front and sides with long hair in the back, is brought back to Tris collection, creating a sense of the 80s.

Tri was largely inspired by daily life, in which people yearn to reveal true colors while caught in the rat race. More than 30 outfits in the collection feature simple white, blue, and red motifs. In the latter half of the collection, Tri introduced 70 outfits with diverse designs, materials, and colors.
Most designs are inspired by the 80s and 90s, said to be the golden age of fashion with grunge, punk, and normcore influences. The mullet haircut, comprising short hair at the front and sides and long hair at the back, also makes an appearance in Tri's collection.

Tri also pays attention to accessories to bring back the sense of the 90s into his collection. Hats, thick chain necklaces, sandals, and white sneakers used by models in the show were popular items in the past.

Several international celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Kelly Rowland,Sandra Oh and Margot Robbie have become his clients after the international shows.

The "My Colors" collection marks Tri’s return to the domestic fashion scene after releasing two collections to acclaim at New York Fashion Week in February and September 2019. Several international celebrities, including Miley Cyrus, Kelly Rowland, Sandra Oh, and Margot Robbie have become clients after his international debut.
