"I used to live with myself at the center, but now, my child and my wife have become the center of my life," he said during an interview in Seoul, where the actor discussed his return to the big screen in the historical drama "Harbi."
"My son and Son Ye Jin are my top priorities, and I’m second," The Korea Times quoted Hyun Bin as saying.
The actor previously admitted feeling guilty because Son stopped her acting career to focus on motherhood after their 2022 wedding. He expressed relief when she returned to acting, now working on the movie "No Other Choice," set to be released next year.
"Seeing all that my wife does for our child, I feel both admiration and gratitude," Hyun Bin remarked. "You [Son] have done very well."
Born Kim Tae Pyung, the 42-year-old actor first became well-known for his role in the 2005 romantic comedy "My Lovely Sam Soon." He has since starred in popular TV series like "Secret Garden," "Memories of the Alhambra," and "Crash Landing on You."
Son, also 42, was born Son Eon Jin and gained popularity with her roles in "The Classic" and "Summer Scent" in 2003. Her subsequent films, "A Moment to Remember" and "April Snow," were commercially successful, earning her the nickname "Nation’s First Love" in South Korea.
