Discussing love and family on a tvN talk show, Hyun Bin shared that after a two-year hiatus dedicated to family responsibilities, Son has resumed her acting career and is currently filming the movie "No Other Choice," set for release next year. Seeing his wife enthusiastic about her work made him feel more comfortable and relieved, he said.

The actor understands that during the childbearing and child-rearing stages, Son longed to go out and perform her favorite scripts, but she was content to pause and take on the role of a mother while he was still able to work normally. This made the actor feel guilty. Hyun Bin said he also felt the hardships Son faced handling all the household chores alone when he was away on business.

"Seeing all that my wife does for our child, I feel both admiration and gratitude," he said. "You [Son] have done very well."

The actor added that on the day of the talk show recording, their two-year-old son was feverish, and he went to work worried that his son hadn’t recovered yet. His dream is for his son to be healthy, never sick, and always happy with his parents.

Hyun Bin revealed that the boy resembles his mother more.

"My wife hopes our son will look like her, but I prefer him to look more like me because my face is more angular while her face is rounder," he explained.

He mentioned that he couldn’t determine the exact moment he and Son fell in love, but they frequently communicated during the filming of the 2019 TV drama series "Crash Landing on You." Their interactions continued as they met to promote the drama and film commercials after the shoot concluded. Hyun Bin acknowledged that the series brought him numerous benefits, including audience affection, high viewership ratings, and ultimately, meeting his future wife.

At an event in September, Hyun Bin mentioned that being in the same profession makes it easier for him and his wife to understand and empathize with each other. In her work, Son always encourages him, and he is grateful for her presence.

Hyun Bin, 42, was born Kim Tae Pyung. He gained widespread recognition for his role in the 2005 romantic comedy "My Lovely Sam Soon." Since then, he has played lead roles in other successful television shows, including "Secret Garden," "Memories of the Alhambra," and "Crash Landing on You."

Son, 42, was born Son Eon Jin. She rose to fame in 2003 through "The Classic" and "Summer Scent," which were followed by the commercially successful "A Moment to Remember" and "April Snow." Her early roles in films garnered her the title "Nation’s First Love" in South Korea.

The couple got married in 2022.
