Malaysia's Mega Films Distribution clarified that Wong was recreating a scene from the film, which he came to Malaysia to promote, The Straits Times reported.

"In response to the recent video of Bosco Wong circulating online, we would like to clarify that it is a re-creation of the intense atmosphere from the film," the agency stated on social media on Tuesday. "As the lead of the film, Bosco Wong has always acted with integrity and has no intention of deceiving or misusing his fame."

Channel News Asia noted that the video, which gathered over 1.2 million views on Facebook, features Wong banging on the table and losing his temper over a plate of stir-fried beef noodles.

"Get your manager out here. Are you crazy?" he shouted at the waitress.

He seemed to settle down when served nasi lemak by the manager, but became upset again upon discovering peanuts in the meal.

"Why did you give me peanuts?" the actor inquired. "A quick search online would tell you that I don’t eat peanuts."

When the manager offered a replacement meal, Wong hit the table once more and exclaimed: "What time is it already! I still have to wait..."

Beneath the video, some viewers expressed sympathy for the actor’s supposed predicament, while others suspected the incident was a setup, pointing out the microphone visible on his shirt.

"Please pay attention. There is a microphone attached to his shirt," a user commented, as per The Star. "There’s no way he would slander others so casually."

Wong, 44, began his career at broadcasting network TVB in 1999, hosting various variety shows and appearing as an extra in several drama series until his official acting debut in 2002. He is famed for his roles in "Triumph in the Skies," "Wars of In-laws," and "Dicey Business."
