Taiwanese actress Joe Chen to hold wedding ceremony with 9-year-younger Malaysian tycoon husband

According to The Straits Times, Joe Chen’s manager confirmed that the event will be a private ceremony at a luxurious five-star resort in Malaysia's Langkawi, attended only by close family and friends. Among the guests will be former members of the now-disbanded Taiwanese girl group 7 Flowers, of which Joe was once a member.

The news of their upcoming wedding has already gone viral on China's Weibo, with many fans offering their congratulations and best wishes.

Joe Chen and Alan Chen officially registered their marriage on March 31, 2022, after dating for two and a half years, as reported by Apple Daily. However, despite their marriage, Joe has reportedly faced criticism from her in-laws for not having children yet, according to SCMP.

In a March 10 Weibo post, Joe Chen called the claims "groundless and shameless." "I am approaching 45 years old. Touching my heart, I hear a voice in my heart saying, ‘I really love the present me’," Joe Chen said.

Joe Chen shared that having children is not currently a priority for her. She believes that her life can be fulfilling without a child and enjoys raising her pets, treating her dogs and cats as her children. "I am living my life happily.
