According to Fox News, in the footage, Hayek appears to be positioning Kidman for a photograph by placing her hand on Kidman, who then turns toward the camera. After a brief exchange of words, Kidman pushes Hayek’s hand aside. Kidman is then seen greeting pop star Katy Perry, who joins them for a photo, before walking away, leaving Hayek and Perry together.

The video, uploaded to TikTok on Oct. 2, has garnered over 10.2 million views as of Oct. 15.

However, another angle of the event reveals a different scenario where Kidman, Hayek, and Perry are seen engaging warmly and posing together for a group photo. This suggests the alleged tense moment was brief and occurred after the photos.

Footages filmed earlier in the event also show the two actresses enjoying a lively conversation, indicating they were on good terms.

This incident has fueled online discussions, with some fans speculating that Kidman might have told Hayek "don’t touch me," though this has not been confirmed. The debate continues on social media, with opinions divided over whether Hayek was too forward or Kidman reacted too harshly.

The connection between Hayek and Kidman to Balenciaga adds another layer of interest, as Hayek’s husband Pinault leads Kering, the parent company of Balenciaga, and Kidman serves as the brand ambassador.

Neither Kidman’s nor Hayek’s representatives have responded to Fox News about the incident.

Hayek, 58, started her acting career in Mexico before gaining fame in Hollywood with roles in movies like "Desperado," "From Dusk till Dawn," and "Dogma."

She earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress with her role as Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in the 2002 biopic "Frida," which she also produced, becoming the first Mexican actress to achieve this distinction.

Hayek and Pinault, 62, announced their engagement in 2007, welcomed a daughter that same year, and married in Paris in 2009.

Kidman, 57, has consistently ranked among the world’s highest-paid actors and led as the top-paid female actor in 2006. Her awards include an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Golden Globe Awards. In 2024, she was honored with the AFI Life Achievement Award, becoming the first Australian actor to receive this accolade.
