A jewelry shop in a central province has been fined VND235 million (US$9,500) for selling fake Chanel and Gucci brand products and trading foreign currencies without a license.

During a recent raid police found Hoa Tung Shop in Quang Ngai illegally trading nearly $2,000 worth of currencies including U.S., Australian and Canadian dollars and Japanese yen.

They also found 36 items branded as Chanel and six as Gucci priced at VND197 million but without any documents to prove their authenticity.
