The company made this announcement after handing over the first 100 VF 8 cars to the first batch of customers in Vietnam on Saturday.
It has received over 65,000 orders globally for its EVs so far.
VF 8 is an SUV that comes in two versions, Eco and Plus. The company claims the latter can run up to 400 kilometers on a full charge.
Earlier this year VinFast had said it would build a plant in North Carolina with an annual capacity of 150,000 EVs.
