Vietnamese second-hand startup Piktina has raised $1 million in a seeding round from venture fund Touchstone Partners.

The company, which launched its app in June this year to help connect young people in trading used clothes, is set to use the money to develop new products and increase its number of users.

"We’re excited to have Touchstone Partners as our initial investor as they share our values of creating solutions that promote sustainability and make our community a better place to live in," said Nguyen Hoang Phuong, Piktina’s founder and CEO.

Piktina considers its mission to be raising awareness of overconsumption and instill sustainability values in the community to reduce fashion waste and carbon emissions, and conserve the environment.
