Mark Zuckerberg impressed by Asia’s richest billionaire heir’s $1M Richard Mille watch

The Daily Mail reported that a video circulating on the social media platform X captured the moment Zuckerberg, alongside his wife Priscilla Chan, was astonished by the luxurious timepiece worn by Ambani during his pre-wedding celebrations, which took place from March 1-3 in the Indian city of Jamnagar.

Reflecting on his experience, Zuckerberg stated in the video: "I never really wanted to get a watch. But after seeing that, I was like, watches are cool."

It is speculated that Ambani’s watch is the RMS-10 Tourbillon Koi Fish model, crafted with 18K rose gold and diamonds on the bezel, as reported by Yahoo! Finance Canada.

Ambani, 28, is the youngest child of Mukesh Ambani, who heads Reliance Industries, a conglomerate with annual revenues of US$110 billion.

As of March 6, 2024, Forbes ranks Mukesh Ambani as the wealthiest person in Asia and the ninth wealthiest globally, with a fortune of US$116.1 billion.

His fiancée Radhika Merchant, 29, is the daughter of Shri Viren Merchant, the CEO of the leading Indian healthcare company Encore Healthcare.

The pair have reportedly known each other since their youth and pursued their education in the U.S.

Their pre-wedding festivities featured a variety of themes, events, and attire requirements, with a guest list featuring notable figures, including Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates and former U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

Costing an estimated 120 million pounds (US$152 million) as per Daily Mail reports, the celebration was highlighted by pop and R&B singer Rihanna’s performance.

The visit to the Ambani celebrations was a part of Zuckerberg and Chan’s extensive tour of Asia, which also included visits to Japan and South Korea before arriving in India, as noted by Business Insider.
