Pork producer Greenfeed posts $813,000 loss

Pork producer Greenfeed Vietnam posted a loss of nearly VND20 billion ($813,800) in the first half this year against a VND169 billion profit in the same period last year.

The company did not state a reason for the loss in its disclosure to the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

It posted a profit of VND417 billion in 2022 and VND617 billion in 2021.

The company in 2021 issued VND1 trillion in bond to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) with a maturity of seven years.

It planned to use the funding to expand its production to 750,000 pigs by this year.

Established in 2003, Greenfeed is a fully integrated clean food chain feed – farm – food with 10 factories in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.

Its products are distributed through major retailers such as Bach Hoa Xanh, Co.op Mart and Tops Market. The company also runs its own retail chain G Kitchen.
