Roger Federer visiting Hoi An for family vacation

Nguyen Thanh Hong, director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on Monday said Federer is having a private vacation with his family at a resort in Dien Ban Town, about 6 km away from downtown Hoi An Ancient Town.

Photos circulating on social media on Sunday showed several Vietnamese fans taking pictures with Federer on tennis courts in Hoi An.

Several people also shared pictures of Federer wearing conical hats, saying it was the tennis player visiting Vietnam, but it was in fact Federer visiting Thailand with his family back in February.

Federer has not publicly uploaded any photo about his family's trip to Hoi An on his personal pages.

Federer, born in 1981, has won 20 Grand Slam titles throughout his career as a professional tennis player. He announced his retirement from professional tennis in September 2022.
