Where to watch Reunification Day fireworks in Saigon

HCMC will launch fireworks at five locations on Tuesday to celebrate Reunification Day.

There will be a high-altitude fireworks show at the Saigon River tunnel in Thu Duc's Thu Thiem Ward. The rest will be at the Thao Dien villa area, Dam Sen cultural park area in District 11, Van Phuc urban area in Thu Duc, and Tay Bac industrial park in Cu Chi District.

The shows can be enjoyed from hotels, restaurants and cafes in the city.

Bach Dang Port Katinat located at the center of the port and open until 2 a.m. offers a panoramic view of the river and Ba Son Bridge.

Located on the 21st floor of the Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon, the Liquid Sky Bar is a popular location for firework-watching thanks to its panoramic views of the Saigon River.

The Majestic Saigon hotel on Dong Khoi Street has the M.Bar on the eighth floor and lounges on the fifth and seventh floors.

The 18th floor of the Sofitel Saigon Plaza also offers a panoramic of the tunnel area.

Chang Vang Rooftop in Thu Duc City is located in an ideal area next to the Saigon River with direct sight of the Thu Thiem and Saigon bridges.

People can also get on board cruise ships to watch the fireworks from the water from the ROS Yacht Club, the Ben Nghe, the Indochina Queen, and the Hon Ngoc Vien Dong, which all offer dinner and fireworks views on Tuesday.

They pick up passengers at the Saigon Port in District 4.

The "Saigon River Sightseeing" tour is also a popular option with affordable tickets costing VND190,000-339,000 (US$7.50-13.38).

People in the city can also watch the fireworks from various locations.

Bach Dang Port is usually a popular spot for watching.

It is located at the center of District 1, with a park in front and situated around four kilometers from the tunnel fireworks show.

The Saigon River park located near the site of the high-altitude fireworks show at the Saigon River tunnel is one of the best places from which to watch.

People need to come here early if they want to secure good spots to watch.

The roof of the Thu Thiem tunnel, a popular entertainment venue, is another good spot from where to watch.

From streets in downtown District 1, visitors can reach the place by traveling along Vo Van Kiet Street, making a turn at the Thu Thiem tunnel, turning left at the first intersection and traveling along the river.

Dam Sen cultural park in District 11 is another spot for watching the fireworks. Tickets to enter the park cost VND100,000-140,000 ($3.95-5.52), unchanged from normal days, but people should go at least 30 minutes early to secure good spots.

The firework shows will last 15 minutes from 9 p.m. Tuesday.
