Luxury brands launch dragon-themed products to celebrate Lunar New Year

Luxury watch and fashion brands are offering limited editions at up to US$27,700 to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

Swiss watchmaker Chopard partnered with Japan’s Yamaha Heiando to produce 88 watches to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

Each L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Dragon watch has a rose gold case with an 18-carat gold dial crafted by world-renowned artist Minori Koizumi.

It is priced $27,700.

French fashion brand Louis Vuitton is selling LV Dragon Vivienne keychains with a cartoonish depiction of a green dragon at $905.

It is also selling a red lacquer box with a wooden dragon in top with leather wings at $2,710.

Italian fashion house Tod’s last month launched a collection containing a leather shopping bag, purse and sneakers with two dragons wrapped around its logo.

Prices range from $700 to 2,000. It also offers a limited edition keychain at $595.

Harry Winston is offering eight watches with a red dragon and a pearl in their dial. The prices vary and have not been publicly announced.

The watch has 118 diamonds set in a 18K rose gold case.

French cosmetics brand Lancome offers a limited collection of products designed by London-based Chinese artist Jacky Tsai.

The stars of the collection are the best-selling Advanced Génifique Serum and Absolue Soft Cream with an addition of a lipstick.

The products are packed in red and gold casing with a large dragon made of flowers, birds and many other details.

Italian brand Giorgio Armani is selling a collection of men’s polos, hoodies, joggers, and sneakers with a dragon embroidery.

The products are made of silk and polyester and predominantly in red, black and white. Their prices range from $150 to $575.
