The South China Morning Post reported that the incident occurred on Sunday. Hong Kong police were notified about the condition of the man, 71, just before the plane was set to leave. Although immediate assistance was provided, the passenger lost consciousness.
He was quickly taken off the aircraft and transported to North Lantau Hospital, where he was declared deceased. Police have announced plans for an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.
