Vietnamese designer's creations favored by Miss Grand International contestants

Contestants from Bonaire, Australia, and Canada wore dresses designed by Tuan in the sash giving ceremony on October 6 in Hanoi.
Tuan said as of Monday, a total of 14 contestants had contacted him to discuss their costumes. He has designed 50 evening gowns, with many worn by the contestants in various events of the contest.
Other designs are set to appear in the semi-final and the final night on October 22 and 25 respectively.

Miss Grand International Cuba wore a see-through dress from a collection that Tuan introduced earlier this year for her photo shoot.

Australian beauty queen Mikaela-Rose Fowler chose 11 costumes, both ao dai and evening gowns, by Tuan.
She ordered him to take charge of her outfit for her ethnic costume sub-contest, which will be held on October 20, as well.

Fowler appeared in a high-slit dress in an event part of the contest in the coastal Ha Long city on Oct. 9, 2023.

Miss Grand International Guatemala chose a dress that was worn by the 2005 Miss Universe Natalie Glebova in Glebova’s trip to Vietnam in 2022.
See-through, cut-out, and slit designs are many beauty queen choices, while voile and silk are their favorite fabrics.

The American contestant donned a long gown to the Oct. 9 party.

Tuan has worked with many tailors to make costumes for the pageant’s contestants over the past three months.
He said the outfits he made to their orders weighed almost 200 kg, and their prices varied. He hopes to promote Vietnamese fashion to international audiences through the contest.

Many communities have predicted that López will rank high in the competition.

Another creation by Tuan was chosen by the Bonaire beauty queen.
Tuan, 31, gained fame after his designs appeared at many domestic and international beauty contests. He has become the favorite gown designer of many international celebrities, including Hollywood actress Caylee Cowan, Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna Royo and Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova.
The 2023 Miss Grand International contest takes place in Vietnam from Oct. 3-25.
